I am starting to make more things homemade for my family. From food to cleaning products, it has been really fun, and also we have saved some money. Today I want to share with you this YUMMY recipe that I make for sandwich bread in the bread machine. The bread is heavenly with some butter and homemade jam!
Here are the ingredients:
- 4 TBSP of canola oil
- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 2/3 cup hot water
- 2 TBSP sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast
Make sure you follow your bread machine instructions. Mine go in this order: hot water, milk, oil, sugar, flour, salt. Then make an indentation in the flour, add the yeast. Go to "menu" and press until "dough cycle." Let the machine do its thing. It takes about 1 1/2 hours for the dough to be completed well kneaded and risen.
Deflate dough and put on a greased bread pan. Cover and let rise about an hour.
Here it is after an hour.
Bake in a preheated 350 oven for about 35 minutes. Before I put it in the oven I brush it with a little melted butter.
Super yummy! WARNING: you might want to make two loaves because it will disappear FAST!

Hi Vivian
ReplyDeleteYou've made a yummy bread and I really envy you. I've tried once but for whatever reason, it came out flat & hard. I use it as a paperweight. ;) Hmm... I will try out your recipe. Thanks. You are a doll.
