Today I am sharing another one of my kids favorite recipes for Halloween...Spiderweb Pizza.
I like to make it really simple with store bought ingredients. You will need:
- Rhodes bread dough
- sharp shredded cheddar cheese
- olive oil
- a jar of Ragu
- light Parmesan Alfredo Ragu
- plastic spiders for decorations.
The first thing you need to do is to let the dough defrost and rise. This may take up to 6-7 hours depending on the temperature of your kitchen. Mine took 6 hours. Of course, you can make your own dough like I do on Friday pizza night, but for occasions like this, I like to cheat...ha!
I deflated the dough and put it in a pizza baking sheet and baked the dough for 10 minutes. Then I brushed the edges with olive oil. I then put the cheese on top and baked for 5 minutes. Then I added the tomato Ragu on top (so it's backwards, the cheese goes first). After that I warmed up the Alfredo sauce and using a spoon I "drew" circles starting from the edge and going to the center . After that using a toothpick I drew lines from the center out creating the shape of a spiderweb and decorated it with spiders from the dollar store.
The kids devoured this pizza! simple and easy for a busy night!
